The event was inaugurated by the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Professor Muhammad Abd al-Ridha al-Tahan, along with the administrative assistant Dr. Mustafa Abd al-Sattar, the head of the Medical Laboratory Department, Dr. Saad Haif al-Badri, and several faculty members. The bazaar featured numerous contributions from students, showcasing handmade crafts, painting, culinary arts, and more. This cultural carnival highlighted various student talents that could lead to bright scientific and cultural futures. Al-Ayen University has awarded a free scholarship opportunity in the College of Pharmacy to student Saif Al-Din Saad, who achieved an impressive score in his sixth preparatory exams despite facing significant challenges due to his quadriplegic condition, expressing his desire to study at Al-Ayen University. The university administration arranged a visit to his home in Al-Duwaireh, located in the northeastern part of Dhi Qar Governorate, to congratulate him on achieving a score of 89.29 in the scientific preparatory sixth grade. This visit was aimed at understanding his needs and conducting an initial interview to finalize his enrollment procedures in the College of Pharmacy at Al-Ayen University for free. Saif's father expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the university's proactive approach in reaching out personally by phone and visiting their home on Sunday, August 13, to celebrate his son's success and to assist in completing the enrollment procedures. He emphasized that his son's ambition and dream is to pursue a pharmacy degree at Al-Ayen University, with aspirations for postgraduate studies in the same field. Dr. Maytham Talib Al-Mousawi, head of the Al-Ayen University delegation and secretary of the university council, remarked that this remarkable student has provided a real-life lesson and serves as a great model for success and excellence. He commended Saif's awareness and culture that surpass his age, conveying a powerful message that disability should not stand in the way of determination and the pursuit of success.
