حققت جامعة العين المركز الأول في تصنيف أعلى الجامعات العراقية في مجال التكنولوجيا والهندسة الذي يظهره موقع الـ research.com، الذي يقوم باحتساب تسلسلات التقييم بالاعتماد على مجموع النتاجات البحثية في اختصاصات التكنولوجيا والهندسة مع مدى تأثيرها في الوسط العلمي.

وبحسب التصنيف المعلن في الموقع الرسمي تقدمت جامعة العين على  الجامعة التكنولوجيا التي حققت المركز الثاني نظرا لجهودها العلمية الكبيرة في مجال البحث العلمي العالمي.

من الجدير بالذكر إن جامعة العين تولي أهمية كبرى لعملية البحث العلمي و توفر كافة الإمكانيات المادية والبشرية من اجل إنجاحه وان تكون السباقة فيه بالرغم من حداثة التأسيس.

Al-ayen university is ranked as No.1 University in iraq region as Top Engineering and Technology Universities. 

The university ranking for Engineering and Technology was developed by Research.com, one of the prominent platforms for computer science research maintaining reliable data on scientific contributions since 2014, with the aim of answering the question of what is the best Engineering and Technology university.

The ranking of universities is based on the h-index and bibliometric indicators compiled by December 6th, 2021. The ranking process involved a detailed examination of 166,880 researchers’ profiles from Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph. For the discipline of Engineering and Technology, over 17,155 profiles were examined. Scientists from more than 1,548 institutions and affiliations were analyzed.

Note that, for the whole region of Iraq, only two universities are ranked as Top Engineering and Technology Universities, Al-Ayen University come at the first and followed by university-of-technology-iraq.

Both universities are classified based on their top scientists, Dr. Zaher Mundher Yaseen (Al-Ayen University, total h-index 37) and Dr. Miqdam T. Chaichan (University of Technology- Iraq, total h-index 30)
